The mission of Kinston Youth Enrichment Project (KYEP) is to inspire and empower youth, in grades K-12, with a passion for learning. Our programs will allow youth to pursue their dreams confidently and creatively while developing academic, leadership and service learning skills that will allow them to be successful in life.

The Kinston Youth Enrichment Project out-of-school-time programs provide a model of youth development strategies that prevents or reduces adolescent pregnancy, school dropout and gang involvement.  Our program provides a structured environment, offers positive alternatives to high risk behavior, and encourages positive youth development and academic achievement.
