KYEP After-School

Young Women of Promise, Inc. sponsors the Kinston Youth Enrichment Project's afterschool program at St. James AME Church located at 402 East Shine Street in Kinston, NC for the 2008-09 academic school year for students in grades 2-7.  The program meets Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during days that school is in session.  The afterschool program feature daily homework assistance, tutoring, the 4-H All Stars Program, Promises 4-H Club, monthly community service activities, art classes presented by the Community Council of the Arts; photography and more.

The free afterschool program began on Monday, September 15, 2008 and currently serves students who attend C.H. Bynum Elementary School; Southeast Elementary School; Northwest Elementary School; Rochelle Middle School and Kinston Charter Academy.
